UFRA's Graduate School of Social Sciences is a place of reflection, research and training dedicated to understanding contemporary human and social dynamics. It offers in-depth programmes in gerontology and psychology, designed to train professionals able to support ageing populations, inform public health and well-being policies, and contribute to the region's social development. Gerontology, as a social science, is approached in all its dimensions: support for older people, ageing policies, intergenerational dynamics and the adaptation of social structures. The teaching approach is resolutely multidisciplinary: field surveys, action research, institutional internships and collaborations with specialised organisations enable students to develop a critical eye and analytical skills grounded in African realities.
